sound   dudius Member Group: Members Posts: 50 Joined: Aug 24, 2006 hey, my sound went out for my comp. the headphones don't work, the speakers don't work, none of the sound outputs are doing anything. i've played with all of the different sound settings and nothing is happening. i think my soundcard may have gone bad. any suggestions? ......................... [software:] You said you've tried stuff, so only thing I can think of is let someone else look at it, they might be able to look at it from a different angle. [hardware:] If you have a separate sound card, find a friend and test it on there machine, or try it on another PC, to see if it works.If it doesn't work, then it is probably that. If you have onboard sound, find someone you can borrow a soundcard from.  Find a computer person, like I, that has a few laying around.  Try that one and see if you get sound. .........................
